SCENES FROM A GAY MARRIAGE by Matt Riddlehoover

The Plot: Darren (Matt Riddlehoover) is a lonely gay guy who enjoys listening to the conversations of the happy gay couple that lives upstairs. One day, Darren begins suspecting that one of his neighbors is cheating the other.

The cast: The boys are cute, clean, irritating (exception for the nice boy Jared Allman) and their acting talents let a lot to be desired. The best one in the cast is Thashana McQuiston as the new female friend of Darren.

The Movie: I guess in paper this might have look interesting, but it isn’t. The action drags for an almost painful long 83 minutes. Nothing really motivating happens, there’s no chemistry between the actors, the characters are dull and for a gay movie is completely sexless. I think this was a pet project for director, writer, producer and actor Matt Riddlehoover. But I guess this is just my opinion, because there’s already a sequel.

A História: Darren (Matt Ridllehoover) é um gay solitário que gosta de ouvir as conversas do casal gay que vive no andar de cima. Um dia, ele começa a desconfiar que um dos vizinhos anda a enganar o outro.

Os Actores: Os rapazes são giros, limpos, irritantes (excepção para o simpático Jared Allman) e o seu talento para a representação deixa muito a desejar. O melhor do elenco é Thashana McQuiston como a nova amiga de Darren.

O Filme: Acredito que em papel esta história poderá ter parecido interessante, mas não o é. A acção arrasta-se por uns longos e quase pesarosos 83 minutos. Não acontece nada de motivante, não há química entre os actores, os personagens são desinteressantes e, para um filme gay, é completamente assexuado. Acho que deve ter sido um projecto pessoal para o realizador, argumentista, produtor e actor Matt Riddlehoover. Mas devo ser o único a ter esta opinião, pois o filme já tem uma sequela.
